If you are looking for as close to perfection as possible, a Correction Detail is the only choice. Again following the same preparation stages as a Protection Detail, the paintwork is then subjected to a multi-stage machine polishing process to remove every mark that can be safely, before burnishing the paint to impart a brilliant gloss.
This is a much slower process, and depending on the type of paint being worked upon, will often need a significantly more aggressive approach. The results of this process can be staggering, with seemingly past it paintwork being revived to look better than new, but it is a process that should be carried out infrequently to protect the long term integrity of the paint. Both Protection and Enhancement Details are ideal as subsequent maintenance treatments.
- Paint correction process using power polisher and a wide range of cutting and polishing compounds, this will totally remove all those unsightly swirl marks, fine scratches, bird lime, hologram effects and more.
- Paintwork and wheels are soaked in a cleaning snow foam before being rinsed off with a hot pressure washer including wheel arches and door shuts.
- P21s neutral wheel gel is applied to wheels and cleaned using a horse hair wheel brush.
- The vehicle is then washed with a neutral shampoo and a lamb's wool mitt before being rinsed again.
Hand dried with micro fibre towels.
- All exterior surfaces including wheels and windows decontaminated with clay to remove any bonded contaminates, this leaves paintwork as smooth as glass.
- Paintwork cleansed with a pre-wax cleaner including wheels and door shuts, removed with micro fibre towel. This ensures that the carnauba wax makes a strong bond to paintwork.
- A selection of carnauba waxes is applied to paintwork and door shuts before being buffed to a deep shine with a microfiber towel.
- Exterior metal work cleaned and polished with metal cleaner.
- Windows and mirrors cleaned with glass cleaner, water repellent treatment applied to exterior glass.
- Tires and exterior plastics cleaned and conditioned.
- Engine degreased and detailed.
- All Interior cleaned using water spray extraction machine, vinyl cleaned and conditioned, inside glass cleaned, leather surfaces are gently cleaned conditioned.
Typically this work will take 2 days to complete, possibly more depending on the vehicle and its condition.
